The EU has increased its exports of confectionery products to the Russian market to a two-year high: in January–November 2025, European companies supplied €703.1 million worth of sweets to Russia, which is 8% more than a year earlier. The main growth was in chocolate, with volumes increasing by 7%.
Russia also increased its sugar exports, shipping more than 1 million tons in 2025, which is 18% more in real terms.
