Wafer upgrade: “Spartak” is boosting capacity and bringing back bestsellers.

Spartak confectionery factory in Gomel, Belarus, has modernized one section of its wafer production facility — and it’s not just an equipment upgrade, but a demonstration of how technology can become a powerful driver of business growth. The installation of new automated equipment has enabled the company to increase production output, reduce energy consumption, and improve working conditions.

In the first half of the year, JSC “Spartak” produced 11.5 thousand tons of confectionery products. Revenue in the domestic market has grown, while exports accounted for 7% of the company’s total shipments. By the end of the year, the factory plans to increase production by more than 500 tons, with a long-term goal of tripling output by switching to a 24/7 operating schedule.

But that’s not all: the modernization also creates opportunities for expanding the product portfolio. The company plans to bring back fruit-filled wafers, wafer bars, and products for people with diabetes (more details on sb.by).
